Why Hou Yi works at every rank

Hou Yi is basically the Toyota Corolla of marksmen — nothing flashy, but it just works. His kit is dead simple: long-range poke on S1, AoE damage on S2, and a global stun Ult that can turn fights from across the map. He's not as flashy as Loong or as mobile as Marco, but he's way more forgiving to play.

If you're learning marksman or just want a reliable pick when your mains are banned, Hou Yi is your guy.

💡 Stuff that actually helps

• Your Ult is a global-range stun. Don't save it for close fights — yeet it across the map to help teammates or start fights.
• S1 gives you attack speed and multi-shot. Pop it before every trade. It's your bread and butter.
• Hou Yi has zero mobility. Position like a coward — stay behind your support at all times.
• In lane, poke with S1 auto-attacks. Don't commit to all-ins until your jungle comes.
• He gets hard-countered by dive comps. If enemy picks Lam + Augran, maybe swap to a safer pick.
